Open Doors Morocco

Better watch him closely if you are wearing a turban around him. He likes to yank it off your head when you're not looking. Kinda like knocking your books out of your hands during your school years. All jokes aside, there's few people you want with you while navigating the vast Western Sahara Desert and Said is one of them.

Photo Credits: Dean J. Tatooles; Southern Cross Galleries | What a precious moment. Late one afternoon, we visited a nomadic home and enjoyed tea with the family at sunset in the Sahara. As the light became golden and just before the sun set, I captured this image of one of our guides and dear friend, Said Ahnana of #‎opendoorsmorocco giving this child a brand new soccer ball as a gift. Soccer (or Futbol) is widely played by the desert people in the sand in bare feet. This was a special treat for this little guy.

It's just my thing. Our trusted guide and trip model, Said Ahnana, was kind enough to indulge me here and put on my Von Zipper's to boot. (Boy they really needed a cleaning).
