Photo Credits: Dean J. Tatooles; Southern Cross Galleries | There are endless shapes and patterns that form in the dunes of the Sahara Desert at sunset. This is one of my favorites that I captured last month near Erg Chebbi in Morocco.

Sunstar, Erg Chebbi

Photo Credits: Dean J. Tatooles; Southern Cross Galleries | Starbursts are one of my favorite types of compositions if the conditions are right. This image is one of the better ones I've have captured. It works well with the windswept dunes of the Sahara Desert in Morocco in the foreground. TIP: To catch a starburst, set your camera to A-priority and stop down to f16 or f22. Start at ISO 100 and tweak upwards, depending on your exposure. Focus just to the side of the sun. Local Butcher

Photo Credits: Dean J. Tatooles; Southern Cross Galleries | Local markets are a photographer's playground. I love them and visit them whenever I can. This image is not for those with a weak stomach, but it is interesting nonetheless. Here, I captured a Moroccan butcher selling his daily meats.

Stripes

It defnitely pays off to travel on the ground with someone who really knows the location. Here, Rosa shared a special spot she loves to photograph and knew the exact time the light would fall in striped patterns. When I captured this image, I saw it in black and white and was pleased by the conversion.

Snow White in Morocco
